Hi all. Well, AsusUpdate killed my board with a flash failure. Everything was fine after till I rebooted, now no nothing, beeps, POST, etc. The BIOS is a PLCC32 chip. I also have an Asus P5AD2-E Premium board which also uses a PLCC32 BIOS. What really irks me about this is it seems that ASUS knows there is a problem with Vista64 and their Update software, but they don't post a warning. My board is under warranty but they are blaming me. Can I boot the P5AD2 into DOS, pop out the bios chip, and then use the P5AD2 to reporgram the bios pulled from my P5WDG2-WS with the bin file for the P5WDG2-WS Pro that I downloaded from ASUS? Which software should I use to flash it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am sitting here with a $350 paperweight right now Sad Thanks again!!!

If the bios chip are of same type and on socket, then you can try. Use manufacturer bios flashing program. Be careful...
