I have an old KK266 ver1.2 (not R, not +) and an applebred 1800 that I want to put together for a temporary project. I have spent many minutes in search of bios hack such that the board will post with this cpu. Have seen that some were able to get this to work with modded bios but have not been able to find the modded bios. Anyone have a suggestion?
currently have the last 1022 that iwill put out before closing their doors.

The Applebred Duron is just a relabel AthlonXP T-Bred with some L2-Cache disabled. So if your board supports these AthlonXP then the Duron should work even if shown as unknown AthlonXP.
If your board does not even support T-Bred CPU then it might be a hardware problem.

Edit: VIA KT-133 chipset, AFAIK T-Breds did not work on this old chipset. The older Palomino AthlonXP or their corresponding Morgan Durons may work.
