Modem problem
AFAIK the AMR is just the i/f between the POST and the MB. Software drivers do the rest. There is no onboard modem.

BIOS settings for a PCI Modem
A thunderstorm took out the AMR Modem in a friend's Tiny PC. I have replaced it with a PCI Modem, however, the driver installation (which is automatic from the CD) freezes the PC requiring a power down to restart (not good running Win 98SE). Do I need to disable the AC'97 modem chip through the BIOS...
