Here is a reply I got from Steve Baker of Cyberguys! : The physical dimensions of socket 7, 370 and 462 (aka socket A) are all the same. It is only the difference in pin density that gives each one its name. So they could fit, but in general usually don't due to obstrucitions (capacitors) in the way...

Will this HSF fit my Mobo?
I'm wondering if this heatsink fan (cooler) will fit my motherboard. Well I forgot to partition/format it because I assumed it was in standard fat32, but I guess not. The Hdd came from my old satellite reciever (Dish Network PVR (DISH-501). Thank you very much for the help. I suppose the most important part of identifing the file to use is the BIOS Eval string. I tried searching for this myself and got alot of convoluted results. I would like to use a Seagate 40GB hard drive but I think a BIOS update is in order.
