So that must mean that by using the bios version before the "increased stability" I'd could possibly get better performance? 8)

Hi, I flashed my Asus A7N8X-X with revision 1009 bios a while ago. Recently, it's been crashing so I decided to reflash the bios and see what happens. On the Asus website, the latest bios version for the A7N8X-X motherboard is version 1010 The description for 1010 is "Support AMD Sempron CPU" which is self explanatory.
