I used the maintenance option to remove the DDO but the BIOS was still showing the drive as 32gb, i removed the jumper limiting the drive but still no joy.

any help?

how come it shows up the correct size at the top but not the bottom?

I was using ontracks ddo software (i got a seagate barracude iv ) i went to maintence and turned removed it (i thought) when im in DOS the HDD space is reported at the correct amount though.

My mobo does have onboard graphics and sound (if you reffering to me that is)

i flashed the patched 2.1 fine

but when i look in setup it still shows the drive as 32gb, ive removed the jumper from the drive as well to stop it from limiting the drive to 32gb

is the display in setup correct?

That worked a treat, up and running again with 1.8

now to try and flash it with a bios that'll actually make it detect my hdd full capacity, i tried d/l the 2.1 from your site but the file was corrupt.

if you mean before i flashed the ROM, then no i didnt.

yeh the one on the german site looked just like mine

is there no jumper i can set to activate recovery mode, i've tried looking everywhere but had no luck?

i flashed using the 1.8 on my previous post from the german MSI site

I tried flashing the 1.8 and now my computer wont boot, and the boot block method doesnt work either, so i guess it's knackered.

Funnily enough i visited that site straight after posting and it does have a upgrade, what i need to know is if that will cure the problem, and i take it use the award flasher that came with the bios update, http://www.msi-computer.de/produkte/main.php3?Prod_id=132&Seite=BIOS will this do the trick?

i've got the usual problem that my mobo wont recognise the full capacity, i looked on the microstar website and they have updates for every bios except mine (typical)
