Recently I bought a new Asus motherboard and 1.3GHz processor. Sometimes motherboard recognizes it as an 866MHz processor. I contacted my computer dealer but he claims that this motherboard has some function called Flash bios, which is automatically flashing bios when I just turn off my computer (without shut down). I think he is trying to make me an idiot (successfully), but I want to be sure before I do something about that. Is my motherboard broken or just need some adjustment?
Thanks.

Download and flash the latest BIOS from Asus - it might be a bug in the version you currently have.
The dealer looks to be idiot

I believe he wanted to say "reset bios" but he said flash...
Is there anything like automatic reset bios when I turn my computer off without shutdown?

Bullshit too. Shutdown/power off without it affects only the installed OS (Windows/Linux/whatever) and data (your unsaved document in Word). BIOS Setup settings are backed up by a battery.
