I have been looking for a complete list of the AWDFLASH command options and what they do when you add them to your "flash command string".

I'm especially interested in the /nbl option, and what would cause you to need to add this to your command string.

Perhaps a "sticky" could be written about all of this.

Thanks.

I've been a fanatic award flasher but I've never seen documentation for /nbl command switch, and it's not also listed when you type "awdflash /?" at the command prompt.

Sorry if this doesn't help, but I'm also interested to know what this /nbl switch means. My wild guess is that it invokes "no bootblock lockout" for chips that came shipped with "bootblock lockout protection" enabled, and so would allow us to overwrite bootblock when flashing these chips.

And if need be, I could elaborate on the other command switches.

/nbl solves the problem when you get the "This Program's file BIOS-Lock string does not match" message. This message also appears often when trying to downgrade a BIOS.

AJZ -

That was the message seen, and how I came to find out about the /nbl switch.

What is the "BIOS Lock String" anyway?

(BTW...the switch enabled the guy to flash upgrade his board successfully. :-) )

I've seen the message twice only, and only in the rare cases where a manufacturer offered a BIOS upgrade with a different core (e.g. Award 4.51 to 6.00).
