I'm a little confused. upgrades mention both motherboard (in my case asus P2B ACPI Bios Revision 1002) as well as bios (in my case award v4.51PG PNP bios extension v1.0a)

what software should I be going for - asus bios or award bios upgrade?

bios ID info at bottom of screen during boot up reads
04/02/98-i440BX -<<P2B>>-00

my problem is that the new 40 gig hdd we have won't get recognized, so thought the simplest and cheapest solution was to upgrade the bios with software.

which bios upgrade file should I choose??? {:-[

BIOS ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/S ... 14__03.zip
Flasher ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/B ... ash213.zip
Another flasher (if aflash does not work) ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/B ... h2_199.zip

I'm running the same BIOS (1014 beta 003) without any problems, with Celeron Tualatin 1.1 running at 1.47GHz :D
