I'm using a Pentium 1 to hot flash my damaged bios chip from my other computer.
My motherboard is BIOS ID: 08/09/96-i430VX-P5VX-B-00
so its a i430VX , and i read on UniFlash that 256KB BIOSes doesn't work on some i430VX for example mine. In uniflash it wont tell me the kind of eeprom is in for the hot flash and wont let me write to it.

Now i tried with AWDFLASH and it said i was trying to flash a 12VOLT, now i want to flash with uniflash and i saw on uniflash's site how to make an adapter for 12VOLT, should i make it and use it?? or am i just using the wrong AWDFLASH version , i've tried versions 520 and 603 both failed

Any help would be great :)

Thanks,

If the original bios chip for the i430VX board is 128kbyte the board might not support 256kbyte chips at all, adapter or not. Try and borrow a board that has got a 256kbyte bios...
