I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1650, with an Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400+.

It should be running at over 2.4ghz but when i loaded CPU-Z it tells me i'm running at 800mhz!!!!

I think the problem lies with the bus speed, it is at the moment set to 200mhz with multiplier of 4, according to what i've found on the net it should be 800mhz bus speed.

I have gone into the PhoenixBIOS Setup Utility in the hope that i could change it there. Alas, there is no option to do so.

Can anyone tell me if i can do something?

Thank you.

Are you running on the battery...or are you on AC power?

aehm..that's a feature called PowerNOW! on mobile devices. the multiplier get's adjusted according to the workload. so either you start some cpu burning application or you disable the PowerNOW! feature and start burning some battery power/ac power.
If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.

Yup.

This is why I asked if the OP was running on batteries or on AC power...because AMD's PowerNow! (and Intel's SpeedStep) with "throttle" the CPU as required.

Thanks.
