If this is the wrong area to post please let me know. This is some info on my chipset and my bios. I would like to update my bios in order to be able to recognize larger harddrives(I use a 160 gig Maxtor). I have tried to go through the Shuttle people and they can't(or won't help) supply any info. I have tried Unicore for an upgrade but what they supplied only blew my system to pieces I had to go to the people the board was purchased from and fortunately they had a bios chip from the same kind of board. We did a hotswap and got my system back up and reflashed with the original bios. Is there a bios upgrade for this board and has anyone been successful in upgrading this particular configuration. Thanks for hearing me out.

Bios depending on your motherboard revision number is here :
ftp://ftp.shuttle.com/BIOS/av18/

Some Info/pictures here :

AFAIK no support for HDD >128GB - use an Add-In PCI IDE-UDMA card

I've been looking at these pages already and am currently running an addon card to utilize the large drive. I was hoping there would be an upgrade for the bios since the existing one is a couple of years old.

The only upgrades available are listed on the downloadpage at Shuttle. You're already using the latest version and I don't expect any upgrades for this legacy board.

Thanks for the input; I was kind of hoping that wouldn't be the case for once.

Thanks folks
