ram capacity problem?

Hello everybody!

I have just flash my bios because i insert larger hard disk (40GB) and it works now :)
But i am interested in one think.I have DIMM ram 128MB 4-chip but i can use only 64MB (:
Is it possible to fix this problem with bios update to?

I have:
bios : award modular bios v4.51PG
bios id: 5/11/1999-I440BX-ED-2A69KD4FC-00
bios date:5/11/1999
OEM: P2XBL Rev.D1
manufacturer: DFI

Your motherboard can handle:
3 x 128MB max. 384MB (unbuffered)
3 x 256MB max. 768MB (registered)
Supports PC100 and ECC.
More than 100,000 BIOS strings in my database just now!

hi,

i think the ram you installed is not compatible with the board. try using other brand of 128 mb ram. i had encountered several problems like that too. that should help fix your problem

This forum has an excellent system of sticky threads which represent a huge knowledgebase..why not using it?
