I have a Unisys Aquanta EN/M, which I've identified as an Acer Travelmate 7120T, and found a bios update for it. Acer's exe file only creates a .bin file of 256Kb, and there's no flasher. The board has an Intel i430TX chipset. Should I be reasonably safe in making up a DOS flash bootdisk and using Uniflash?
I've flashed lots of desktop boards, but this would be my first laptop flash.
Uniflash for old Acer laptop?
Better search for a flasher on the Acer site.
Patched and tested BIOSes are at http://wims.rainbow-software.org
UniFlash - Flash anything anywhere

It turns out the flasher is built into the bios. Interestingly the info wasn't in the pages for my 7120T but on a page for another model, the Nuovo, that I found while trying to identify mine.
I now have a newer Acer bios, with the Acer splash screen.
