Liggy/Herrie over on the CDfreaks site have developed a new tool for flashing firmware to NEC and compatible DVD drives. Unfortunately, they've named the tool "UNIFLASH". The announcement is here:

I've posted a message in that thread pointing out the name conflict and suggested they liaise with Rainbow to sort the problem. I'd say Rainbow has prior rights!

From the thread at CD-Freaks since joegib posted, it looks like Liggy is going to change it as they're discussing the best alternative name.
