I have a motherboard with the text "643E-AT rev. 1.2" printed on it. I assume this is a Jamicom motherboard but im not 100% sure. At boot it shows "Award Modular BIOS v4.51PGM" and "01/03/1998-i440LX-2A69J000C-00".
I have found a new BIOS at http://wims.rainbow-software.org that says it will solve the problems with larger discs.
My question is what flash utility I should use to do this upgrade? I am worried that something could go wrong if I choose the wrong tool.

Thanks in advance!

To answer my own question... I tried the "uniflash" program and it worked great with the motherboard mentioned in my previous post! My system now accepts larger discs without problems :)

I'm using this old board to learn Linux :)

Do you know if it possible to connect an USB port to this board?

Sure. I have USB set up on mine, and working just fine.

But check here first for the USB pinout:

Our mobo is type "B".
