Just an update:

I have just found and tried a "beta" bios here, and now the stick is properly recognized, and seems to work just fine.

637WIQ06.BIN : (beta)
        1. fix support 128MB DIMM modules
Hopefully this will help anyone else who runs into this problem.

No, I'm not really. Last time I had it working properly, though, I successfully ran the memtest86 test while using it, but later it caused corruption.

I'm just not sure whether it is the ram or the bios/mobo playing up.

Hello, I recently bought a single sided SD stick rated at PC133. On the stick it says "8mb x 16", and it is supposed to be 128MB, but it is only detected by my MB as 64MB. Thanks for the reply :-)

Unfortunately, that bios still stops when trying to detect my new HD. This is really the more important issue compared to udma.

Do you know the difference between the 637 and 637P, btw? What problems can there be for not using the bios designed for the P model?
