The MB does have "Imperial_G" printed on in as I put above so I'm pretty sure that's what it is now. Thanks for the link. I'll go and see what I can find. The way things are I'm almost expecting to have to replace the board as I feel it's on it's way out so if I flash the bios and it kills it...

MB Help - 31861.EM.0000.D.020-121254

I'm trying to find a bios upgrade for the above but I'm struggling like mad. It's an EMachine 570 which has decided not to want to use the USB or NIC connections properly although they're installed and recognised. Flashing the bios is just one of the things I'm trying to get it working although some...

31861.EM.0000.D.0307301727

This is the Bios ID according to Bios Wizard. It says it's a Phoenix Bios 4.0 Revision 6.0 with a Bios date of 07/30/03 and an Intel 2560 Rev 3 chipset.

Can someone help me with identifying the mother board please as I've had to do a full reinstall and some of the features haven't been recognised.

No reaction at all. I've tried clearing the CMOS but there's no change. All that happens is the fan goes round on the processor. One thing about the CMOS. When switching the jumper over to clear it do the machine have to then be switched on or will it clear purely by conneting those pins and the pow...

2A69KG0DC-00: Gigabyte GA-6BXC

Having checked the bootup screen against the information on here the board I have is the one in the title. Basically here's the story. Hard disk reporting possible physical errors so I've bought a new one. Bios too old for the 80gb Maxtor ATA/133 HDD I got. Went to the Gigabyte site and did a search...

Sussed it!! From what you said I started to think about the jumpers. The numpty who worked on it before me had got them upside down. It now sees a 6.4gb disk.

Now to try and get the OS back on it.

Thanks for the help.

Since my post I found that site and was sorting out the bios upgrade. I've not done one as yet. I was actually thinking it should work ok as is because I've another machine here which is about the same age, maybe older, and that's got bigger disks in it. Looking at the HD though the only jumper sett...

6GB: Packard Bell PC

I've a machine here which is a Packard Bell PC running Phoenix Bios 4 release 6. The ID tag is 4M4UE0X3.11A.0003.P03 and the machine is running an Intel Celeron 300. The Bios date is 1998. The problem is it's got a Fujitsu MPC3064AT hard disk in it which is supposed to be 6gb but only reporting 2gb ...

Chaps,

Sorry I've not got back to you before now but I've been a bit on the busy side. I just wanted to say a big thanks to all who helped especially NickS whos file worked a treat.

I've another query but I'll post that in the relevant section.

Thanks again one and all.

Hmmm seems I've exhausted your help. Apologies if I've taken it too far. It's a tricky one as you've said and quite an old machine. Sorry if I've offended but I've been lost for a while on it and this place has been the only source of help. It's only natural that I keep trying for help even if I do ...

Cheers Nick. So if the first part doesn't work then where does that leave me?

Also 32gb to 64gb bug. HD I'm wanting to install is 80gb. Am I right in thinking it'll only see 64gb?

Chaps. Additional.

I looked at the query Nick linked to at motherboard.org and it references Colossus machines. Now this machine I'm working on is a Colossus machine. I didn't mention it as I thought it was a clone and Colossus was just the case name. It seems not.

Hope this helps in the search.
