I am interested in updating the BIOS of an Intel 845GEBV2(which is no longer supported) with the Bios from the newer Intel 845GVSR or 845GVFN. I want to be able to run the newer CPU's that this newer BIOS supports. Does anyone see any problems with this.

I have looked into this further. I have found that the newer boards that will support the Celeron D processors, had a circiut board revision done to them. Otherwise they are the same. Does anyone know what changes needs to be made to accept a Celeron D vs a Celeron in the 478 package.

They usually need much stronger voltage regulators - these Prescott babies suck a lot of power (Not that much Watts but lots of Amps).
