Everex Stepnote SE p166mmx, looks like it has a socket 7 but

Don't ask how to over-clock.

can't seem to remove all the heatsyncs and other garbage easily to find out for certain and the internet is seemingly worthless as Everex is dead.

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone knows if this indeed has a socket 7 low voltage interface and if I could put a low voltage p266mmx in it or maybe a lappy k6-2?

Thanx

Go to

http://www.esupport.com/biosagent/index.cfm

and download and run the BIOS Agent program, then post the info it gives here. It may help identify the motherboard, which would tell us a lot more.

Oops, I failed to mention that, YES it definately is a laptop

That is why I wanted to double check it had a low voltage socket 7 interface as opposed to that MMC stuff before I break the case to get the heatsync and cpu out.

I will be going home this weekend and I could run that proggy on it, but I'm not sure it will work.

Cheers
