http://www.giga-byte.de/Products/Mother ... uctID=1517

that board is running very well with my Coppermine, as well with SD-RAM 168 or 184 (DDR)

so I have as well a choice of tualatin cpu

gigabytes site offers me

CPU support Tualatin N/A - in my opinion means not applicable or not available

due to the fact, many BX and i815 without b-stepping and VIA693/694 boards are running with tualatin combined with Lin Lin S370, upgradeware S370 converter, upgradeware Slot-T, powerleap SLOT-T

I tried that, having that hardware available

but the result was nothing (no screen) :-( up to now

the board revision is 0.3 (strange but is like that)

so my question, is there anywhere one modbios available ?

thanks a lot for reading

again: this is no bios lockout. there are many problems running a tualatin cpu on boards that should not run them. some problems _are_ intended by intel to keep people from blowing up their boards, some are manufacturer made ignoring intel's bus signal standards.

anyway..if you are skilled in electronics here are some hints: check PWRGOOD, check Vcc2.5, check the adapter for coppermine support and make sure to check the FETs of the vcore generation circuit.
if you are NOT skilled ignore the above and get a cpu that is officially supported by the mainboard manufacturer.
