I need to create a software that will setup some specific BIOS values for a central management system.

The particular items I need to set by software are :
1- the boot devices (to select the boot device sequence)
2- set the admin password

Is there a way of doing it on any BIOS (not just Award)?
Is there a more recent mapping of the CMOS registers than Ralf Brown's mapping which dates a few years back?
Is there any generic utility that does something like that? I haven't found any myself.

I haven't seen any software that will do what you need. One suggestion (assuming you have a large number of PCs with identical motherboards) is to save the BIOS, modify it how you want, then set up boot floppies to flash automatically. You can do large numbers of PCs quickly this way.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
