I think my PS/2 port is busted. The PC gets so slow during POST period and it is making this low beeping sound repeatedly (which sounds like the beep that beeps when I am pressing a key on my keyboard non-stop). This still happens even if I don't have any keyboard installed on the system. It goes away after it starts booting my OS (Windows XP). It can't detect any PS/2 keyboard that I try to plug-in so I am using a USB keyboard atm.
I want to disable the PS/2 port e.g ignore any data coming from the ps/2 port completely, since I think that's where the problem is. Is this possible?
