Hello out there!

I tried using etherboot and also managed to include it in the bios
of EPoX 61BXA-M MB but I have no possibilty to activate
etherboot rom. I managed to depack the origianl.tmp and
can watch it but i got no idea where to start my search.
Where is the bios invoced at boot (adress) and how does
the depacking (it is lharc?!) work(where do i find it?, adress).
Is it possible to change parts of original.tmp against newer
parts of a younger bios?

Thanx for help

I would have thought the best way was to include the LAN boot ROM image as an ISA ROM file. You've tried that and it doesn't work ?

For more info about where the BIOS starts from, see http://www.xs4all.nl/~matrix/post.html.

Hello Nick!

Thank you for your answer!
I tried it with ISA -> 'cbrom awdbios.bin /isa rtl8139.rom 8000:0' maybe
this is incorrect? After this i tried ONLY pci ?!

I now have checked the new AWDBIOS 6.00PG, it has a option to boot
from lan but etherboot is even not startet(-> i only tried to add pci-bios
here). I think a have a lot to learn, i know assembly but bios is really
hardcore... Maybe you have another idea? But I don't need this
MB for netbooting

Thanx a lot Manuel

Well,I did a quick Google search for "cbrom rtl1839.rom" and found posts from people who seem to use C800 or D000 rather than 8000. 8000 seems a bit low as IIRC the BIOS rom area starts at A000 (the video BIOS start). See if that helps at all.
