it is very bad.

I open this post to try to clear my doubts about how to change the logo of those netbooks.

I have a Medion Akoya which is a clone of Msi Wind, the bios currently used is:

http://www1.medion.de/downloads/downloa ... xe&lang=es

This change is not extension. Rom is 109

I tried several programs to try to change the logo but without results, tool 8 rc1, amibios logo change, and so on.

With the software change amibios intel logo and managed to remove the logo but not change it for another.

Thanks in advance

The Wind's BIOS is complied based on the latest EFI technology therefore legacy tools don't work.

I've posted MSI Wind BIOS logo changing guide here.
Also, here you can find an example of modded BIOS with an Apple logo.

Hi Thanks for this, I tried he text version on live DVD, but it didn't offer any other options, so after further fiddling I tried booting into the failsafe option & this recognised the screen immediately but of course didn't auto configure a number of other things.

Before I try doing an install does anyone have any guidance what options to choose drn install that might re-create the failsafe mode (and set up the screen correctly) so that I can get up & running & then set up things like the network manually??

Thanks
