Hi Everybody!
There is patched bios wih support for HDs >32Gb available but now I've got another problem. My ga586s2 doesn't seem to set the right UDMA Mode (which should be UDMA 33) for my UDMA 100 40Gb HD. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to limit the Mode for the HD as the Maxtor utility doesn't have support for this kind of HD. There's a description how to patch this issue for the ga586t2 from Petr Soucek. I looked at the bios with a hex editor and it seems, the offsets are different.
So, does anybody know a quick solution to make the patch work with the ga586s2 bios?

Maxtor has a lot of UDMa changing utilities - some are specific to some quantum based products and some are general for many Maxtor Hdd
Please go to http://www.maxtor.com/en/support/downloads/index.htm and have a look for this kind of utility

try this - http://rom.by/articles/BP/index_english.htm
Only I have overlooked to write, that patcher supports UDMA-fixing (HDD UDMA66/100/133 on only_UDMA33_MB)
