What exactly is Memory Reference code?

Is Memory Reference code one part of the BIOS code? what exactly is it's function? Is there an exemplar of this part of the BIOS, either in assembler or pseudocode? First time poster, please be gentle :roll:

Please explain where you found this Memory Refernce Code mentioned - I can't make any sense of it out of context.

it was in a job descrip. i probably now can assume it has to do with memoery map assignments.
