Thank you so much for your help. I have looked at that site and just can´t work out what to do that can avoid using a floppy disk drive. I understand you probably don´t have time to help me any more but thank you anyway. Although the monitor is 97% good I will leave it there. Thanks again. F.

Thank you. I have installed that and rebooted but the widescreen resolution option is still not there. does this mean it is impossible for the current set-up to support this new monitor?

thanks for that. i am completely wrong since i saw a mother board box and assumed that it is the one but now i remember that that was from a old pc. I am away for a few days now. When i am back i will open the pc and run everest too and then post more details. Thanks again.

I have just bought my mother in law a nice new BENQ 19" widescreen monitor. The best resolution I can get for it is 1280*1024 which whilst not disastrous it isn´t correct and that is pretty obvious...
