I hope some one here has the solution to this problem. Someone gave me a 666mhz computer recently to use for internet, cause i want to keep my other computers of line. The problem is i found out using a program called everest its running at 333Mhz.

CPU Klok 334.07 MHz (origineel: 667 MHz)
CPU Multiplier 5.0x
CPU FSB 66.81 MHz (origineel: 133 MHz)
Geheugenbus 66.81 MHz

With help from an other forum we came to the conclusion the multiplier value is wrong. Something that has to be changed in BIOS.

I have a BIOS by award,

But i can't find anything to change the multiplier value.

The only thing i could find was this: cpu host/ pci clock in chipset features.
It was on default, but could be set at 66/33mhz-75/37mhz of 83/41mhz.
I tried 66/33mhz but did not change the computer back to 666Mhz.
The guy at the forum didn't know how to help me further. I hope someone here can. :?:  :!:

It's not a multiplier problem, rather, it's an FSB problem. Your processor should be set to 133MHz, but onboard jumpers are forcing it to 66MHz.

Manual: http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/download ... 3ASR3A.ZIP

Page 6: check your JP11 and JP12. You'll have to set both. Once done and rebooted, you'll see that your BIOS "CPU Host/PCI Clock" options will change, but leave it at "Default" for proper 133MHz operation.

Thx for the swift reply. These jumpers JP12 & JP11, is this something i have to fiddle with on the motherboard or is this something i must do in BIOS. Could you give me some more info, this is not something i do regular.

The diagram on page 6 I mentioned is quite self-explanatory. Don't worry, motherboard manuals are prepared for people with absolutely no experience.

Thx for the confidence. I changes JP12 from pins 2&3 to 1&2 and took of the little cap of JP11 so it's off. Set default in BIOS and i am a proud owner of a 666Mhz computer. Thank you very much, AJZCHIPS! :D :D
