BIos, help me please

My bio settings have one up the wall, eveerything wasfine, then my son got into them and messed them up, Ithink I have everything working, but I now can't lcate my modem, and when I boot up I get a port conflict i/o ICQ 3


I have no idea whats happened please someone help

Look at the COM (serial) port settings in the CMOS. Are they set to Auto ? IRQ3 is a COM IRQ which may be used by both on-board serial ports and an add-in modem. If they are not set to Auto you may want to try that. Alternatively, if you do not need the COM port/ports, disable it/them in the CMOS.

i'll try that, but isn't there just a basic setup that I can copy

I can'tfind a page that will show me one,

I just need to see who it should be seup normally, then I can copy it
