BIOS ROM CHECK SUM ERROR

I have just formatted my computer because it was acting a bit strange before like freezing and hanging most of them were because my computer was full of viruses and trojans I think then after I formatted the computer and installed Windows the computer began to hang most of the times (not always) in Media Player then when I restart this error comes up :

AWARD BootBlock BIOS V1.0
COPYRIGHT ....

BIOS CHECK SUM ERROR
Keyboard Error or no keyboard present

DETECTING FLOPPY DRIVE A media ...
INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

This is my Computer System:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Service Pack 3

AMD ATHLON XP 2600+
1.91 GHZ 1GB RAM

two things to check for now.

bad capacitors:
http://www.badcaps.net
make sure to check your power supply as well.

or an empty cmos battery (CR2032 3V lithium coin cell)

if not those two we'll have to check what else went bad.

other things to consider:
- overclocking?
- bad cooling
- bad RAM (use memtest to check it)
