What motherboard are you running?

Did you completely uninstall the old video drivers first?

EMM386 is a DOS memory manager which requires a "window" or "frame" in the BIOS area of the first 1Mb of RAM. The size of this base frame is usually 16 Kbytes, and the memory management then makes extended memory above 1 Mbyte (or expanded memory, if you remember that) appear in this frame in "pages" of 16 Kbytes.

This message will normally mean either that you have specified a particular range of addresses which is already in use, or that EMM386 cannot find enough space to create a window of the specified size. Why this message should suddenly appear is puzzling; other things you could check are whether BIOS shadowing and/or caching for the video BIOS or for any of the BIOS area is enabled in the CMOS.
