I feel pretty dumb for asking this, but...

I have an aged board with an AMI bios, dated 1994. It's an Intel Triton, I think. I can't for the life of me manage to get into the bios Setup program.

On boot, it doesn't say which key combination to use. I've tried most everything I thought would work--ESC, DEL, INS, F1, F2, CTL, ALT, SHFT in various arrangements.

Has anybody else run into one of these machines that doesn't want you to get int the Setup screen? Any ideas that could help a soul out?

Thanks.

Try disconnecting the floppy or the fdd.
Usually an error message comes up, together with an option to engter the bios.

Also a CMOS clear should do the trick.

Try holding down a key until keyboard error appears.
