I can't connect a digital camera to my pc via usb. My mother board was made in 1997.It supports USB connection but when I turn on the camera no plug and play message appears on the screen to detect and install the drivers for the camera..... could it be a problem about the compatibility between my old motherboard bios and a new USB tecnology maybe requested by my camera to be connected to pc? Please help me....I want to find a solution!! Thanks very much

Is USB enabled in BIOS? Please tell us what motherboard you have.

Can you see the USB entries in the Windows Device Manager?

What camera are you trying to install? Did you follow the manufacturers directions for installing it? Usually you have to load their software first, then go through a setup processs that will properly install and test the camera.

If your board has built-in USB ports, there has to be BIOS options for them.

Also please post motherboard BIOS ID string.
