how to boot from USB

hi,

i made a bootable usb and when i go to the BIOS settings to boot from usb as the first boot this was the options :floppy, LS120, hard disk, CDROM, ZIP, USB-FDD, USB-ZIP, USB-CDROM, legacy lan.

i have phoenix award BIOS
my mother board is :P4M800-8237
so does it support boot from usb or not
i tried FDD but it doesn't worked

What USB stick/thumbdrive/harddisk? How did you make it bootable? What floppy drive did you try, did you connect it in the right way, did you enable the floppy controller in the bios and again, how did you make the bootable floppy disk?

Last but not least, P4M800-8237 is a chipset number from VIA, but we need the actual brand and model from your board please.
