Largest Hard Drive that can be put in a Gateway 500SE?

Post by bobbie » Thu Jan 22, 2009 1:29 am

I have a Gateway model MFATXPNT nmz 500se ... serial 0028099580

Does anyone know if there is a hard drive (i.e. internal HD) size limit? Would like to upgrade to the largest internal drive possible.

My OS is XP with SP2

Ok, if it is time to upgrade, better put the money towards a new system alltogether.

The maximum you can fit will be a 120GB disk. Anything else is above the absolute maximum 128GB per disk for this systemboard.
