The tiny plastic coated wire deally under the CPU is damaged and needs to be replaced. You know the one that touches the bottom of the chip and is soldered to the board. I think that's why the board is dead, can anyone tell me how to fix or where to get a new one? Thanks

If it really is a thermal sensor, it should not cause board to be dead unless it has some kind of CPU overheat protection which gets activated because of wrong temperature from the sensor.
