need help no bios installed

i recenly got two pweredge 300SC's and i went to boot one to install fedora core six and it said that there wasnt any bios installed

does fedora tell this or do you get this message on startup?

what harddisks are fitted?

no fedora doesnt, i didnt even try to install because of the messege.

The fact that you are getting that message means BIOS is installed. BIOS initializes, CPU, memory and video. Without those things, you will not be getting any messages on the screen. It could be a custom BIOS where its looking for a particular partition on a hard drive to boot from. Don't know for sure. Enter BIOS setup by pressing F1, delete or whatever other hot key they mention. Tell us more about the message. Basically we need more info to help you.

More than likely there's a set of disks connected to a raid controller and only a tape streamer to an adaptec-based scsi controller. Since that Adaptec has no disks connected, there's no need to load the boot-bios block for the controller which is exactly what this message says.
