I have a FIC AN-11 mobo with an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ CPU. I just tried to install a 512mb PC2100 memory stick. I made one change to the BIOS-which was setting the CL to 2.5. Now the thing gets past a successful POST and then stops. I also have a 64mb Radeon VE (7000) video in the AGP slot.
It seems like the machine won't access the HDD. The HDD stays on and never makes a sound after the POST.
What changes should I look for in the BIOS??
:?: :?: :?:

Thanks

Try clearing CMOS.

Take out the new memory, put original back in and try again. Most likely the new stick isn't compatible.
