We have about 1200 Dell Optiplex 260/270's BIOS Revsion A03/A05 company wide and we need to remotely change a BIOS setting in all of them. We need to change the setting "Remote Wake Up" from "On" to "On w/ Boot to NIC". We need this setting for the ability to connect on boot up to a PXE server and boot from a virtual floppy. Does anyone know of a way to remotely changing the BIOS settings?

thanks

Found a solution. Dell has a tool called Dell Client Configuration Utility that you can use to build an executable that will change BIOS settings. It also runs a query of the BIOS settings for you to view as well as other things like flashing the BIOS and restarting the remote computer. It turned out I needed to make one other option change as well as Change the boot order to make boot to NIC number one. I did it all with this tool.
