There is no sound from my computer. I know the speakers work becasue since they work with another computer.
I'm using win 98. I went into system properties, under the tab device manager and under sound, video, game controllers and found that my computer detected that there is a "creative SB live! Value" card installed I'm not sure if this is my sound card but it seems like it is. There is also a "Wave Device for Voice Modem". I'm not sure what is wrong. I've also checked some windows settings to make sure my sound is on and it seems to be. Could this be a bios a problem or a hardware problem? What is wrong?

Take a screwdriver, open your computer, get the soundcard out and look at it. Identify it by the FCC-ID on the board, or by the chipset. Then get your drivers from the manufacturers website. It's more easy as it sounds ;)

By the way, if it is an board with Aztech chipset, I wish you big luck - but I hope that you are not so unlucky...
