To all the cyber angels out there,

I hope you can help. I have a second hand laptop on trial from a friend (pentium II) - don't laugh it's all I can afford at the moment. Problem is (I'm not too technical) that the USB port looks like it was never set up/windows 98 was installed incorrectly. Therefore, I cannot connect up using ADSL. I don't have a copy of Win 98 and when I try and set up the USB it keeps asking for the file 'usbhub.sys'
Is this available online somewhere? Please help. Going out of my mind not being able to go online.
Thanks for your help.....I hope.

Sorry,

I should also have said that I am using Win 98 and it's a Compaq. I heard that there were some issues with USB stuff for the intial release of Win 98.
I hope that helps.

The USBHUB.SYS file is compressed in one of the CAB files on the installation CD. On some systems with preinstalled Windows, these files can be in WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS or WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL directory.
