ok i'll try fdisking to make two partitions, one lower than 8.4GB, then i'll load the OS back on and see what happens!
and i'll look into the dynamic disk overlay for my drive

13GB: MB-8500TVX-A
The hard drive I am trying to use with the (very) old box is a 13GB Western Digital, WD136BA. The BIOS, AMIBIOS, only sees the hdd as 8GB, then when I try and boot up, The BIOS hangs once it POST's to the hdd, and won't go on from there. Do I need a newer BIOS that supports larger drives?
