Re: Asus TX97-E ACPI BIOS with HDD patch needed

For this old board series you need the Asus Flasher Aflash. Thanks for the aflash program! I've been searching for it. But I tried it and it still doesn't work. It says "Error -- Flash memory unknown" so it's the same, the chip is not being detected  And one question: is this bios file the pa...

Re: Asus TX97-E ACPI BIOS with HDD patch needed

It's an original Asus TX97-E motherboard as stated in the thread title. It's rev. 1.11, and it's working fine except this bios update issue. I have a Pentium 120mhz cpu in it.

Re: Asus TX97-E ACPI BIOS with HDD patch needed

That would be great, but I tried to flash another version, and It doesn't work. I mean the board is working perfectly, but uniflash can't detect the chip, and awdflash restarts the computer after a few seconds. The bootblock jumper is in enabled position. I also tried shorting the VCC to 5V, and VPP...

Re: Asus TX97-E ACPI BIOS with HDD patch needed

If you can provide us with the 1001e_03 ACPI BETA bios for this board since Asus pulled it off its servers due to windows 2000 problems at the time. the 0112e with the same date stamp that is around has no ACPI support. Thats the other problem, I can't find it :( I was hoping that some of you still...

Asus TX97-E ACPI BIOS with HDD patch needed

Hi guys,

I'd like to update the BIOS of my Asus TX97-E board to support bigger HDDs, but I need ACPI support. Could someone please make me a patched version of that?

Thanks

Re: Acorp 5TX52 jumper settings needed for BIOS flash

I tested the PSU some months ago and the 12v was 11,9-11,95V so it should be enough. But if I cant flash it I also can ask somebody with a flash programmer to burn the bios into the chip, so it must be successfull and not erase chip fail or something.

Re: Acorp 5TX52 jumper settings needed for BIOS flash

Sorry, its PPC, I mistyped that. But I tried with several versions of awdflash. From 1.20 to 8.63, but only two, 5.32 and 5.5 worked, but these said erase chip fail and got me out to dos prompt whatever I did. version 6.6 that you linked doesnt work, it doesnt detect the chip.

Re: Acorp 5TX52 jumper settings needed for BIOS flash

Yes its the same(mine is 1.4 pictured is 1.6 but looks the same). The jumper above the bios is the cmos clear jumper, what is on the left of the chip is the 5/12v jumper, and its in 12v position. The chip is MX 28F1000PPF-12C4. The number, that flash program give is 28F010 /12V

Re: Acorp 5TX52 jumper settings needed for BIOS flash

I tried with uniflash, but it says, that my mobo might be in write protect mode and does not detect the chip, it says unknown flash type or something. I cant turn write protect off, neither with jumpers or in the bios. But I also tried with awdflash 5.5 and it detects the chip and flash type, but it...

Re: Acorp 5TX52 jumper settings needed for BIOS flash

I use the latest(I think) its version 1.4 and in the readme there is my chipset(triton III 430tx) as supported. My current bios is E and I want to flash a modified version of G to support HDDs up to 128gb. Its from wim's bios so it should be correct. All that on the disk is:(for the dir a: /a comman...
