Thx for the answer! I'll go tomorrow to a hardware-store to reprogramm the chip.

I wrote an email to esupport.com and the told me that they have a bios-upgrade with hdd-support up to 137 GB... for $25 ;o) quite some money for a 512KB... So I wonder if anybody knows where to get it for free!

ok... some news
funny enough i found out (shortly before going to a hardware-store to flash the bios) that the problem seemed to be my keyboard...
the thing is: when I start the computer with the keyboard plugged in (ps2) the computer shows only a blank screen... if i unplug the keyboard, start the computer and replug the keyboard shortly after I hear that the monitor receives power, everthing works... still the harddisk isn't recognized...

After flashing the bios back to a working state, I tried it a second time... same result...

so that's it... still no hdd ;o)

There is no problem with your keyboard. But as you can read above, the bp-patched BIOS will run as non-patched when the keyboard is not connected. So flash the non-patched BIOS.
My patcher does not support v6.0 Award BIOSes, it would help otherwise.
Patched and tested BIOSes are at http://wims.rainbow-software.org
