Suggestion :
Add a little english section with instructions how to install the new Bios
>> searching for MD9901 with google gives your site #5 so many english users will find it but may not understand how to get the patched Bios
Please ZIP the biosfile with Winzip to prevent Data corruption while downloading

I think he is keeping an eye on this thread to see if anything more is coming from this, I already noticed he's very keen on any info available about this board :)

:) Thanks to all message posters on this topic (MD9901)
I was interested to read what Klaus had initiated as I had been searching for the mobo manual for 2A69KM4JC-00. (thanks to the excellent BIOS info in this site I'd decoded it to MSI).
Anyway, I had no luck on the MSI site and reading the threads here I see why as it's a Medion special. So does anybody know where I can get a manual for the mobo as I bought this system second hand ? I've tried contacting Medion on their web site, but had no responses from them.

Thanks if you can help, or thanks for just taking the time to read this reply.

Hi guys, long back since you talked about this board, but.. eh well im upgrading it with 2 new 200GB hard drives, which should be here tomorrow. Is it possible to also patch that bios to recognize those hdds (ive read that 128gb would be the limit today..)?

thanks in advance,

Update:

The HDDs shiped today, situation is that the bios freezes when ever it wants to detect the hdd. Any chance here or do i need to return the drives?

If you have no other board and no seperate add-in IDE/ATA controller with its own bios (such as those made by Promise): yes. 128GB is the final definitive limit for award 4.51G bioses.
