Hello,

my new hard disk is not recognized. I got a 160 GB disk and my bios just show 136 GB of hard disk space.

Below you find the details of the bios:

get a bios update here

which operating system are you using? windows xp (sp2), windows 2k (sp4) and linux don't need the bios to know the correct size of the hdd to use its full size. just make sure that your boot partition lives within the space that the bios is able to detect (in your case: 136GB).

Can you specify a Program to view the unallocated space ?

no special program needed. just use the windows build in drive manager. it should look something like this.
your disc should show up as 149GB HDD.
