If you have removed the 32GB limiting jumper from the harddisk and it hangs on being detected you are in for an add-in ATA100/ATA133 IDE controller card since no updated bios was ever released for this board and we can only patch Award bioses up to 128GB. Yours is AMI and your harddisk is even larger...

The very latest Bios is here :
ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/S ... m802rm.zip

Flash Prog here :
ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/S ... ifl827.zip

But support should be limited to 128GB but it should fully support a 120GB HDD

Either exchange your 160GB for a 120GB HDD or get an Add-In IDE/UDMA Controller card supporting HDD >128GB
