yup, i have already tried it. It still is detecting the hard disk as an 8gb drive. Ive managed to make the drive work with windows using the dynamic drive switch in WinXP. But am having problems making it work in DOS/Win98.

I had the same thing happen here recently on my ASUS P3V 4X (1005 BIOS).
I think the BIOS is wrapping around...but I'm not sure. The OS (W2K) read the disk just fine however.
