Isn't real 40GB HDD.
"Drive manufacturers, including Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, market their drive capacities in terms of decimal capacity. In decimal 1 kilobyte (KB) is equal to 1,000 bytes, 1 megabyte (MB) is equal to 1,000,000 bytes, and 1 gigabyte (GB) is equal to 1,000,000,000 bytes. Operating systems and some software programs (fdisk, partitioning utilities, system BIOS, etc…) all view the drive capacity in terms of a binary capacity. In binary, 1KB is equal to 1,024 bytes, 1MB is equal to 1,048,576 bytes, and 1GB is equal to 1,073,741,824 bytes."
More than 100,000 BIOS strings in my database just now!

Hi Neelakantan

Did you resolve your issue with BIOS for old Jetway motherboard?

I am trying to upgrade a Locland machine with same (or similar) motherboard to use a 80GB Seagate HDD.

Currently it works only at 32GB (jumpers set to limit disk size visible to BIOS).

Jetway seem to have removed links for ugrading BIOS since your discussison in 2006.
Can you help please?

Best wishes

J-7ZXAS /AN (1M)

ZXAS2D01.BIN

128K
Version:D01

Update BIOS Code
(1M Flash ROM Use)
(08-17-99)
http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/download/bioslist.htm
BUT, this points to
ftp://ftp.jetway.com.tw/Bios/7zxas/7zxasc01.bin
which is a) dead b) the wrong file, it's the same you already have. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll give you the proper bios file that has factory-made 128GB disk support. I see I need to put my Jetway archives online...

It happened the same with the bios update. The system will not let me send PM for now. Would you please send me the bios?

Well, the truth is that I was not sure how to fix it, since the board was dead due to using the 7zxanc01.bin, who was corrupt. Anyway, I tried the ZXAS2D01.bin, you had the kindness to send me and even with the awardflash with which I tested as a first step, and that he had used before, the result was perfect. The board came back to life, the bios again and I'll be well recognized records of more than 20 Gb. For I give you my heartfelt thanks, even more so considering that neither the manufacturer (Jetway) has nothing in web. Again, my greatest thanks and greetings from Spain.
PD Sorry my bad English, made of a translator.

Thank you for reporting back the success.

You're welcome. Do not worry about your English language. I understand what you are saying, even with the use of a translator :)

Well, thank you very much again for the help and respond. To prevent someone else from happening, it might be to delete the corrupt link, and replace the one you sent me? I do not know if that's possible, it is a suggestion that does not happen to someone else. Thanks again and best regards. :D
